Autodesk Certifiction FAQ

We have answered a few questions for you below. If you have any others please feel free to contact us at training@microconcepts.co.uk
1. What is the Autodesk Certification Program?
The Autodesk Certification Program enables experienced users to receive special recognition for their knowledge of a specific Autodesk software application.
Autodesk provides a complete certification solution; including assessment tests, Autodesk Offìcial Authorised Training Courseware for preparation, practice test for 2009 professional level exam, and Certifìcation exams for validating your knowledge and skills.
2. Who should attempt Certification?
The Certification credentials are for anyone seeking to validate their knowledge of Autodesk software. The design and visualisation industries are competitive environments, where only the best stand out. Anyone who uses Autodesk software for professional reasons can benefit from the Program by emphasising their skills and knowledge with an offìcial certifìcation from Autodesk. An individual who has achieved Autodesk Certification has validated their knowledge and skills of the performance tasks specified for the specific examination.
3. What Autodesk products is Certification available for?
Autodesk currently provides certification exams for AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Civil 3D, lnventor, and Revit Architecture.
4. What score must I obtain to pass a certification examination?
The passing score varies by certification examination. Please refer to information about a specific certification examination to determine the passing score.
5. What happens if I do not pass?
lf you do not pass, you will receive a Diagnostic Score Report that indicates areas for improvement. You may then purchase a new test and retake the examination after a minimum of 7 days. You can take the examination three times a year. lf you do not pass after three attempts, you must wait until one year has passed from the first attempt before retaking an examination. Each retake will incur the exam fee.
6. Once granted, does certification last forever?
Certification validates your knowledge and skills using a specific version of an Autodesk application. Although certification for a particular version of an application never expires, certification is not considered current unless you have passed the latest recertifìcation examination, and the full examination for the prior release.
7. How do I update my previous version User Certification to the latest version?
lf you have earned a User certification for the last product version, you can update to the latest version Certified Professional by taking the latest Certified Associate exam. There is also no update from older version Certifìcations. You must take the required latest version Certification exams if you are certified on anything previous to the latest 2 versions.
8. How much does it cost to take the examination and how do I pay?
