Micro Concepts has grown significantly over the last three years, increasing its revenue by 100% over this period. As a result of this impressive growth the company has expanded its customer facing team and is in the process of implementing a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution to ensure it continues to provide its customers with the highest levels of service. Micro Concepts’ success over this time can be attributed to the sharpening of its business practices and operating in a buoyant market.

In November 2007 the company acquired the MCAD division of Universal CAD which is now operating under the name Micro Concepts (South West) and working out of new offices in Theale near Reading, Berkshire. The acquisition was driven by the growing specialisation of CAD and engineering data management products plus the subsequent demand for expertise and comprehensive market knowledge.

The acquisition means that former Universal customers will benefit from the in-depth experience and guidance of Micro Concepts’ skilled staff, while existing Micro Concepts customers will benefit from the increase in staff numbers and the enhanced ability of the firm to invest in highly skilled personnel.

Already, this acquisition has seen the company increase its customer facing team, based at its Cambridge headquarters. Two new members of staff were recruited to sales and technical support roles in November 2007. Over the past three years the company has increased its total staff from 12 to 17.
